The Centre for Child Health (Formerly Department of Neonatal, Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine) at BLK Super Speciality Hospital has a very robust teaching program for its DNB Residents.
Every year 2 DNB Pediatric residents(1 primary DNB & 1 Secondary DNB) are enrolled to undergo comprehensive training and mentoring to qualify for the National Board of Examinations postgraduate degree course in Pediatrics.
Besides general pediatrics the department offers them regular teaching and training in most modern and well equipped PICU and NICU, where separate fellowship courses of Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatology are also being run. Also they are exposed to one of the most comprehensive pediatric Superspeciality program with representation in almost all the subspecialities which includes Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Hemato-oncology,Pediatric Orthopedics & Developmental Pediatrics. The teaching faculty is highly trained, experienced and dedicated to bring out the best from the students.
