Handling Children in the COVID Pandemic

Most of us as adults now are getting adapted to the “New Normals” imposed in our lifestyles by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. But at the same time, our children are still facing challenges adjusting to this socially isolated lifestyle. This has not only resulted in enormous increase in their screen usage but also many behavioral and stress issues.

In many situations, parents are not even aware about these issues and even where parents perceive these issues, there is no ‘coping-up’ plan and this further increases their anxieties. Pediatricians are getting more queries related to these, but its also a first-time situation for them too.

Ms Satinder Kaur Walia, who is a child psychologist at BLK Centre for Child Health & Kidspiration, in her brief deliberation here has tried to sensitize the pediatricians on these issues. This talk is worth listening for Parents too.
