How to use BP reference charts for children

Previous Post: How to define hypertension in children

For defining hypertension child’s blood pressure needs to be compared with reference charts for that age and height centile. 

The reference charts by AAP may be accessed at website of AAP or CLICK HERE to VIEW

A simplified table based on 90th centile BP for 5th percentile height may be used as a screening tool. Abnormal values need to be compared with reference charts.
